The first time I saw Dr. Barke was in a viral video on May 9, 2020, in the heart of the COVID pandemic. Wearing dark sun-glasses, green doctor's scrubs, and a lab coat, he was speaking at a rally in California, objecting to the insane pandemic policies and making declarative statements like, "Never in the history of this great republic have we quarantined the healthy." For our staff at The HighWire, who had been tirelessly battling the storm of mainstream propaganda, it was a ray of sunshine piercing through the dark clouds of global deceit. There was hope.
Though Dr. Barke was one of the first mainstream doctors to speak out against the COVID lockdowns, he certainly wasn't the last.
